The State Justice Institute (SJI), 11/1/12025
The State Justice Institute (SJI) promotes policies and practices that address behavioral health needs, including trauma-informed approaches for justice-involved individuals. It advances access to justice through procedural fairness, language access, and support for self-represented litigants. SJI prioritizes reducing disparities, protecting vulnerable populations, and addressing human trafficking and rural justice challenges. It also supports transformative reforms in criminal, juvenile, and civil justice, alongside investments in technology, security, emergency preparedness, and workforce development.

Technical Assistance Grants - Waste Site Cleanup 8/29/2025             MassDEP’s Technical Assistance Grant Program provides an opportunity for interested persons to enhance their participation in assessment and cleanup activities at disposal sites in their communities. Technical Assistance Grants (TAGs) are awarded to selected community and citizens’ groups to allow those groups to obtain expert assistance, increase public participation, and provide public education about disposal site assessment and cleanup activities. Grants up to $20,000.00. 

Child Passenger Safety Education and Assistance Program, 8/31/2025                             This program awards eligible organizations with car seats for distribution to low-income families in need by certified Child Passenger Safety (CPS) technicians. Using funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), OGR aims to reduce child passenger injuries and fatalities by ensuring low-income families are equipped with the correct car seat and caregivers are educated on proper installation and usage. OGR is the State Administering Agency for NHTSA’s traffic safety grants to reduce roadway crashes, injuries, fatalities, and associated economic losses in Massachusetts. Requests for car seats are accepted on a rolling basis and will be fulfilled on a first come, first serve basis to qualified applicants. Please note that this funding is contingent upon the availability and release of funds from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance. OGR reserves the right to amend any awards, rules, regulations or policies relevant to this opportunity if required by the federal government. Please continue to check this page for updates. Massachusetts municipal agencies, state agencies, not-for-profit hospitals, and 501 (c)(3) organizations serving children and/or families that meet all of the requirements in the FFY 2025 Child Passenger Safety Education and Assistance Program Notice of Solicitation of Application are eligible to apply for this opportunity. Accepted on a rolling basis until either all funds set aside for the program have been depleted or August 31, 2025; whichever comes first.

Child Passenger Safety Program - Statewide Training Provider, 9/5/2025                           The Statewide Training Provider manages a program that aims to prevent child injuries and fatalities resulting from motor vehicle crashes. This is achieved through recruitment and training of Child Passenger Safety (CPS) technicians and instructors, organizing and staffing car seat check events and serving as an educational resource to parents, caregivers, public safety agencies and other organizations that serve children and families. Only one organization will be selected to fulfill the role of Statewide Training Provider. Eligibility: State, local, private, nonprofit, and not-for-profit entities in Massachusetts established to fulfill a primary public purpose and who meet all eligibility criteria may apply. To be eligible, an applicant must employ, both at the time of application and for the duration of the contract resulting from this AGF, at least one CPS Lead Instructor with a minimum of ten years of experience as an active instructor in Massachusetts. Applicants must demonstrate prior experience with administering a statewide child passenger safety training program.

Fenway Community Impact Grant,  8/21/2025 
                                                                             Mayor Michelle Wu's Community Engagement Cabinet is excited to announce the Fenway-Kenmore Community Impact Grant. This grant program is allocating $60,000 to community organizations in the Fenway area. This funding opportunity is open to non-profit organizations or fiscal sponsors that are located in the Fenway-Kenmore neighborhood and support Boston residents that live in the Kenmore-Fenway neighborhood. Grant recipients will receive funding of up to $50,000 for the purposes of supporting programs in Fenway that support local residents. This grant is a partnership between the City of Boston and the Boston Red Sox.

Youth Development Fund, 08/26/2025
The Youth Development Fund (YDF) is intended to increase the number of high-quality out-of-school programming opportunities for youth throughout the city, with a focus on sports, arts education, and growing a green generation. Grants up to $30,000.00.

Gender Affirming Identity Document & Transgender Emergency Assistance Grant Program, 8/27/2025
Through the Gender Affirming Identity Document & Emergency Assistance Grant, the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQIA2S+ Advancement (MOLA) aims to reduce barriers to trans, nonbinary, and gender expansive people being able to access and fully participate in society. By investing in organizations that provide legal and financial assistance, we help remove barriers for name and gender marker changes and offer emergency support for basic needs. This ensures greater inclusivity and equity for LGBTQIA2S+ constituents in Boston. Total funding available: $50,000.00. 

Age Strong Rolling Grants, 4/16/2026
Through the Age Strong Rolling Grants, Mayor Michelle Wu and the City of Boston’s Age Strong Commission seek to fund projects that are small in scale to support organizations serving Boston’s older adults. This grant program provides essential financial assistance to help small non-profit and community groups overcome the unexpected costs that often arise related to day-to-day and programming expenses. The Age Strong Rolling Grants are designed to ensure that financial barriers do not stand in the way of an organization’s ability to meet the needs of older adults throughout the year. This grant program builds on Mayor Michelle Wu’s commitment to increasing social connection opportunities for older adults and building a Boston that is a home for everyone. Grants up to $2,500.00.
