Paws-itively good news for pet owners
The Evanston Dog Beach will officially open for the 2023 season on Wednesday, March 1!
Fetch your dog beach pass: Dog beach passes will be available for purchase beginning Monday, Feb. 27 at select community centers.
Sign of spring: Street cleaning begins next week
Street cleaning operations will begin on Wednesday, March 1, weather permitting.
Check the signs: Signs posted at the beginning and end of each block indicate the days and times that parking restrictions will be in place on each street.

Close out Black History Month with an art exhibition and film screening
Black History/My History: Curated by Fran Joy, this art exhibit highlights Black artists and their cultural experiences. View it on display in the Noyes Cultural Arts Center's Second Floor Art Gallery through April 10. Admission is free.
The Big Payback: Join Evanston Pride for a screening of "The Big Payback," which chronicles Evanston's passage of the first tax-funded reparations for Black Americans. The screening will take place Sunday, Feb. 26, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Unity on the North Shore, 3434 Central St. Reserve your spot.
Share your thoughts on Evanston reparations
The City and Northwestern University, in partnership with NORC at the University of Chicago, are conducting a survey to understand how residents feel about Evanston's reparations program.
We want to hear from you: All Evanston residents 18 years and older are encouraged to take the survey.
COVID-19 Update
Cases: Evanston reported 66 new confirmed COVID-19 cases over the last seven days, compared to 65 for the week prior. The current seven-day moving average of daily confirmed cases is 9.43.
COVID-19 Community Risk Level: LOW.
Hospitalizations: View local COVID-19 hospitalizations.

Central Street Bridge Project Awarded
Congratulations to the City’s Public Works Agency for receiving a Special Achievement Award for the Central Street Bridge Project!
The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Illinois 2023 Engineering Excellence Awards recognized the project, which included complete replacement of a century-old bridge to accommodate all roadway users.
