We invite you to the One Glendale, After School Youth Sports Program’s Volleyball Season Championship. Hundreds of spectators are expected to attend both the consolation game and championship game and cheer for the program’s participants.
The One Glendale, After School Youth Sports Program is a collaboration between the City of Glendale’s Community Services & Parks Department and the Glendale Unified School District, with sponsorships from USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, Positive Coaching Alliance, Rotary Club of Glendale, Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Center, and the Glendale Parks & Open Space Foundation. Additional support is provided by the Hoover High School Choir and Drum Line, Glendale Community College, and the Glendale Police Department’s Explorer program. One Glendale is designed to provide afterschool sports programming to youth in eight South Glendale schools in the fourth and fifth grades and is comprised of four sports over the course of four seasons: flag football, volleyball, basketball, and soccer. Each season lasts 8 weeks, with a championship game at the conclusion of each season.

Homeless Action Plan Workshop
The City of Glendale invites you to attend the last of our strategic planning sessions to help inform our Homelessness Action Plan!
Our goal is to engage and empower the larger Glendale community to help inform comprehensive solutions that prevent and reduce homelessness by addressing housing challenges and providing targeted services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
The Glendale Homelessness Action Plan will:
-Articulate clear vision, mission, and values citywide and across city departments;
-Establish measurable goals, strategies and an actionable timeline;
-Identify strengths, challenges, opportunities and threats to our collective work; and
-Address equity issues by ensuring that programs and services are developed and provided through an equity lens
The remaining meeting is scheduled as follows:
-January 10, 2023 In-Person Meeting (6pm - 8pm): Final recommendations to be presented to and approved by the Glendale Continuum of Care Board and City Council
