The public may encounter lane and/or shoulder closures on Highways 101, 154, and State Route 217 in the Goleta and Los Olivos areas for tree trimming and brush clearing on the following dates and locations from 7 am to 4 pm:

Friday, December 16 – Wednesday, December 21

- Eastbound/Westbound State Route 217 near the entrance to Goleta Beach.

Wednesday, December 21 – Friday, December 23

- Northbound/Southbound US Highway 101 near the US Hwy. 101/State Route 217 Junction.

Tuesday, December 27 – Wednesday, December 28

- Eastbound/Westbound Highway 154 at the Alamo Pintado Creek Bridge.

Most of the work will take place off the highway but some lane and shoulder closures will be necessary.

The contractor for this $388,000 project is JTS, Inc. of Arroyo Grande, CA.

This roadwork will also take place on Hwy. 25 in San Benito County and Hwy. 9 in Santa Cruz County with dates and work hours to be announced when certain.

All phases of this roadwork are scheduled to be complete by February of 2023.
