From: City of KingmanThe Youth Health Initiative program for Mohave County Department of Public Health is teaming up with “NotMYkid” to provide a day of empowerment, fun, and resource sharing with the Mohave County Street Outreach Team. The event is Friday, March 3rd from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Anderson Field House in Bullhead City. No registration is required. While the fair is geared towards teens, it is a family friendly event, offering a total of four breakout learning sessions - two for teens, and two for parents.
Teen Workshops
10:30 a.m.: Understanding Substance Use
12:30 p.m.: Bullying
The first 30 teens to join the 10:30 a.m. Substance Use workshop will receive a backpack, planner and aluminum water bottle courtesy of the Youth Health Initiative program and Arizona Department of Health Services.
Adult Workshops
10:30 a.m.: Understanding Personal Trauma
12:30 p.m.: How Personal Trauma Affects Parenting Styles
Before, during, and after the workshops, the Mohave County Street Team and other local community partners will be tabling at the event. Stop on by to check out the job, health and resource fair – free and open to the public!
Lunch will be available for purchase.

The Youth Health Initiative is a comprehensive program that offers free parenting classes to parents/guardians raising young people ages 11-19. The YHI also provides free Mental Health First Aid classes for persons raising or working with youth and Teen Talk, a 13-week health course for teens ages 14-17.
