Christmas Tree Lighting

Saturday, Dec. 3, 5pm - 8pm

Save the date and join the City of Laguna Niguel for our annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony!

We will have performances, crafts, and activities for the entire family to enjoy. Don’t forget to a bring a camera for pictures with Santa, Mrs. Clause, and our other winter guests.

Letters to Santa

NOW through Friday, Dec. 16 

FREE

Would you like to receive a letter from Santa? Santa has asked us to help him by collecting letters in our “North Pole” mailbox inside the Crown Valley Community Center. We will then forward the letters to the North Pole for a response from Santa.

You may also mail your letters to:

Santa will be able to:

-Write one return letter per family at one address in Laguna Niguel.

- Write one return letter per classroom in Laguna Niguel.

- Write to children who include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Holiday Home Decorating Contest

Our entry deadline is Friday, December 9 at 5pm and judging will take place Wednesday, December 14 and Thursday, December 15 from 6 - 10pm.

Cocoa & Karaoke

Friday, Dec. 9, 1:30pm - 3pm

All we want for Christmas is... for you to join us for a fun afternoon of holiday karaoke and hot chocolate! Bring some friends and sign along to your favorite carols. Don’t want to sing?

Enjoy the celebration anyway by supporting your fellow seniors and snacking on some chocolate-y refreshments. O' Come, All Ye Festive!

Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade

Saturday, Dec. 10 @ 10am

Save the date! Experience the unique sights and sounds of the Annual Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade! View more than 100 exciting entries including marching bands, floats, special guests, youth groups, equestrian units, exotic cars, military members, local heroes, and fun attractions. And no hometown holiday parade is complete without a dazzling entrance by Santa Claus!

This year’s special guests include:

-Grand Marshal: Fritz Coleman, Comedian & Legendary Meteorologist

-Celebrity Guest: Vikki Vargas, NBC4 News OC Bureau Chief

-Hometown Sports Celebrity: Julie Doyle, Orlando Pride National Women’s Soccer League

-Hometown Special Guest: Richard Burgi, Film & Television Actor

The parade takes place between Nueva Vista and Crown Valley Park. Bring chairs and take advantage of the free shuttle, available from the Federal Building parking lot off Dorine/El Lazo.

Jr. Civic Workshop

Tuesday, Dec. 13, 6:30pm - 7:30pm

FREE

The City of Laguna Niguel welcomes all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to attend monthly Jr. Civic Workshops on the second Tuesday of each month and learn about their local government, while earning community service hours.

In December, our guest speaker will be Police Services: E-bikes.

We recommend arriving at 6:15pm to check in and find a seat before the workshop begins at 6:30pm.

Winter Wonderland Preschool Party

Friday, Dec. 16, 10am - 11am

Cost: $10

Tis the season to be jolly! Join us for a parent and me preschool party this December 16 at the Crown Valley Community Center!

This one hour winter themed party will include a craft, song, story time, snack, and special visit from a winter friend.

Parent/Guardian participation required, $10 fee includes parent.

Holiday Sweater Late Night Skate

Saturday, Dec. 17 @ 8pm - 11pm

FREE

Join us at the Laguna Niguel Skate Park for an extra special Holiday Sweater late night session!

We will have best trick contests, an ugly sweater contest, and fun for everyone! Food will be available for purchase from a local food truck.

This event is free to attend, valid membership or a $10 day pass required to participate.

Chanukah Celebration & Menorah Lighting

Sunday, Dec. 18 @ 4pm

Join in the celebration at City Hall! Come together with family and friends and enjoy the music and fun as we honor and commemorate each day of the festival of light. Chabad of Laguna Niguel and the City of Laguna Niguel are excited to celebrate this tradition by bringing live entertainment, activities, crafts, and your favorite Chanukah treats!

Bunco Blast - Jingle all the Way!

Monday, Dec. 19, 1pm - 3pm

$5

Enjoy playing bunco with friends at the Sea Country Senior and Community Center! The party theme will be "Jingle all the Way!" Dress up in holiday-inspired attire, holiday colors and/or holiday accessories.

Special rules include: each player will receive a set of dice to keep. Players will have the same partner for the entire game. Partner teams will not rotate during each set of 6 rounds. The head table bell will rotate.

Refreshments and prizes will be provided. Please note, this is an age 50+ activity.

Crown Valley Park Cleanup!

Saturday, Feb. 11, 10am - 12pm

FREE

Keep our city clean and beautiful by joining us for a volunteer park cleanup at Crown Valley Park!

Volunteers must bring a signed release waiver and check in at Crown Valley Community Center. Parents/Guardians must accompany volunteers 12 years and under. Service hours will be provided at this event.

Supplies, water, and snacks provided.
