Spring 2023 Recreation Brochure!
The Spring 2023 Recreation Brochure is now available on the City’s website and will be mailed to all Laguna Niguel residents early February. More than 100 different classes will be offered for youth, teens, adults, and seniors. Explore new hobbies and interests at Crown Valley Community Center.
New classes this season include:

-Beginning Spanish for Kids
-Manners, Character, & Social Skills “Valuing Others”
-Little Hands Sign Language
-Beginning Ballet for Teens
-Reactive Rover Recovery Hybrid

Tax Preparation Services
Beginning Tuesday, Feb. 7, times vary
Call for appointment
The Sea Country Senior and Community Center provides free one hour appointments tax assistance to people who are age 60 and older.
This program is administered in cooperation with AARP and the IRS in which IRS- certified volunteers provide free assistance and basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.

Timeless Melodies - Love Songs
Tuesday, Feb. 7, 1:30pm - 2:30pm
Cost: $5
Take a trip down memory lane and learn about famous stars from yesteryear on Tuesday, February 7 at the Sea Country Senior and Community Center. Find out more about their lives and learn interesting facts and insights.
The presentation includes music, short videos, and historical pictures from the past.

Mobile Library

Did you know that reading to your children can promote imagination and creativity, cultivating a lifelong love for reading?
Join us for story time with the OCPL’s Mobile Library! While you’re here, get a library card, use a hotspot, access information & resources, check out books, and more! This FREE activity will take place from 10am-12pm at the Crown Valley Community Center. Story time will start at 10:30am.

Kissing Booth

Crown Valley Park Cleanup
Saturday, Feb. 11, 10am - 12pm

Keep our city clean and beautiful by joining us for a volunteer park cleanup at Crown Valley Park!
Volunteers must bring a signed release waiver and check in at Crown Valley Community Center. Parents/Guardians must accompany volunteers 12 years and under. Service hours will be provided at this event.

Sweetheart Dance

Junior Civic Workshop

Learn about your local government, including how your City operates and collaborates with other agencies to provide the community with essential services. All 6th to 8th graders are welcome!
For all in person workshops, please arrive by 6:15pm and bring something to write on. You will receive one community service hour for each workshop you attend.
February's workshop is in partnership with the Parks & Recreation Department and Mission Viejo Animal Services

Valentine’s Dinner Cooking Workshop

Need a Valentine’s Dinner Date Night idea? Learn to make fresh pasta and raviolis as well as accompanying sauces. This class will cover: fresh pasta dough, grilled Caesar salad with parmesan crisps, seared scallops with brown butter sauce, linguine with sweet pea & pancetta carbonara, and classic tiramisu!
This class will take place in the new catering kitchen at Crown Valley Community Center. Come meet new friends and enjoy your freshly cooked meal!

Take a Walk on the Wild Side

Take a walk on the wild side at the Crown Valley Park Amphitheater!
You'll have the opportunity to connect with wild animals from around the world. Come find out about the stories behind the animals, the adaptations they have to help them survive in the wild, and the conservation challenges they face.
No passport is needed for this adventure, just bring a low-back chair/blanket.

Join us at Chapparosa park on Saturday, April 1 for Bunny Bonanza!
Kids Imagination will be brining the entertainment and fun dance party. Stop by our instructor showcase and see what programs we will be offering this Summer!
We will also have face painting, balloon twisters, touch-a-truck, inflatable, and of course don't forget to take a photo with Mr. & Mrs. Bunny.
