From: City Of NapervilleThe City of Naperville informs residents and interested parties that the Municipal Officers Electoral Board will convene to hear objections to three candidates’ nomination petitions for the upcoming 2023 Consolidated General Election.
The hearing will take place beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 12 in Council Chambers of the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St. The hearing will be broadcast live on government access TV station WCNC (Ch. 6 – Astound, Ch. 10 – Comcast, Ch. 99 – AT&T) and streamed live via the City’s website at www.naperville.il.us.
The local electoral board, whose members are Mayor Steve Chirico, Naperville City Clerk Pam Gallahue and Naperville City Council member Paul Hinterlong, will hear evidence regarding objections filed on Dec. 2 and 5 by three Naperville residents as to the City Council nomination petitions of Nag Jaiswal and Derek McDaniel and the Mayoral nomination petition of Tiffany Stephens to be voted upon at the Consolidated General Election on April 4, 2023. The electoral board will evaluate the objections and render a determination as to their merits. The public and media are welcome to attend this proceeding.
