From: City Of NewburyportThe Newburyport Resiliency Committee is applying for a Massachusetts Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) action grant. Non-profits, schools, and service organizations within the
Newburyport community are invited to participate in this opportunity to fund projects that relate to climate resilience. Climate resilience is “the ability of a community to anticipate, cope with, and rebound from events and trends related to climate change hazards.” The committee is hoping to receive a diverse range of proposed projects, including climate-related art exhibits or performances, student or community educational projects, watershed protection, urban tree canopy, heat emergency planning, and many more. Funding is capped at $2,500 per project. Proponents can submit up to two applications. The deadline to apply is April 3rd. Please see the application below.
