From: City of PalmdalePALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library, 700 E. Palmdale Blvd, has many celebrations planned in December.
Enjoy live music, light refreshments, crafts, and a visit from Santa at the Annual Holiday Party on Saturday, Dec. 17, from 2-4 pm. Enjoy craft making activities and classical music from 2-3 pm, with Santa’s visit expected at 3 pm. Please note the library will close early on Dec. 17 at 4 pm for the Jolly Holiday celebration taking place in Poncitlán Square.
The Library is also hosting movies in December, including a Holiday Movie Festival from Dec. 22 - 30.
Featured Wednesday 5:30 pm movies include: Cryano (rated PG-13) on Dec. 7, The Nightmare Before Christmas (rated PG) Dec. 14, and Edward Scissorhands (rated PG-13) Dec. 21.
The Holiday Movie Festival showings start at 2:00 pm and will feature Muppet Christmas Carol (rated G) Dec. 22, Dr. Suess’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) (rated PG) on Dec. 23, Home Alone (rated PG) on Dec. 27, Elf (rated PG) on Dec. 28, Last Christmas (rated PG-13) on Dec. 29, and The Santa Clause (rated PG) on Dec. 30. All ages are welcome to participate, and popcorn will be provided, while supplies last. This event is sponsored by the Friends of Palmdale City Library.
Celebrate the season by donating a toy at the library! Donations are being accepted for children served through Inner Circle Foster Care. Bring your unwrapped gift to the library through Dec. 10.
