Roswell Hires New HR Director
The City of Roswell is pleased to announce the hiring of Linda Warren as the City’s new Human Resources Director. Warren comes to Roswell from Union City, Georgia, where she has served as HR Director since 2018. She brings with her more than 20 years of executive experience in human resource management.

"We are excited to welcome Linda to this important role," said City Administrator Randy Knighton. "Her impressive professional experience combined with her proven ability to build relationships at all levels makes her the ideal leader to foster an engaged workforce dedicated to serving the City of Roswell."

Warren most recently served as Director of Human Resources for the Union City, Georgia. In that role, she directed all human resource functions, as well as implementing a successful employee engagement program and a recruitment and retention strategy. She also oversaw the implementation of several training and development programs and wellness initiatives.

"I look forward to working with my incredible team, across departments, and with our many community partners to ensure that the goals outlined in the City’s strategic plan are met," said Warren. "My goal is to enhance the Roswell employee experience through a culture of employee engagement, including enhanced recruitment and retention strategies, investing in our employees' development, and driving HR excellence that leads to successful outcomes and moves the City forward. The end result is to position the City of Roswell as an employer of choice."

Previous to her work with Union City, Warren was responsible for HR planning and execution and financial management as a Senior Business Manager with the City of Atlanta's Department of Planning and Community Development. Warren’s extensive experience also includes budget, policy, and finance roles with the City of Atlanta’s Department of Finance.

Warren earned her Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Development and Leadership from Mercer University and a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Shorter University. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), and the Georgia Local Government Personnel Association (GLGPA).
