Other Happenings...

Last week, the City held its inaugural Driver Operator Pinning Ceremony for our Fire Department. Fifteen firefights were promoted to this new position that is the first of its kind for the City of Shawnee. Staff worked hard to research and create this position that provides new opportunities for growth within the Fire Department and we can't wait to see our firefighters thrive in this position. Firefighters were pinned by their families and loved ones. It really does take a village! Check out all the photos here.

The Fire Station Project is well underway and we are excited for all the progress that is to come. Keep up with this exciting project at cityofshawnee.org/firestationproject!
