Police Swearing-in Ceremony

One of the greatest honors of this job is having the opportunity to swear-in our men and women first responders.

Thursday, I had the privilege of swearing in a new Sergeant in our Department, Sergeant Philip Neri. Sgt. Neri has been with the Stamford Police Department CT for 11 years and has worked in the Patrol Division, Youth Bureau, and the Crimes Against Persons Unit.

Congratulations to Sgt. Neri & his family and thank you for all you do to serve and protect the residents of Stamford!

Transatlantic Mayoral Dialogue

It was an honor to speak at the Transatlantic Mayoral Dialogue in The Hague alongside U.S. and international Mayors about combating hate and violence. Together we signed a declaration denouncing hate and violent extremism and shared best practices for building more inclusive and equitable cities.

Thank you to the Strong Cities Network for inviting me to this important conference and for your work to create and support safer cities around the world.

Fiesta Westside Opening

One of my main economic development priorities is to support small businesses and job growth in our City. Last week, we were so excited to visit the grand opening of the Fiesta Westside restaurant!

We celebrated the opening with co-owner Victor Mathieu and Board of Representative members Jeff Stella and Kindrea Walston. Make sure to check out their new location at 1990 West Main Street!

Stamford Police Officers Save Woman

I want to extend my thanks and appreciation to Officers Tim Inverno and Tom Landry of the Stamford Police Department CT for saving the life of Melissa Crawford. Even though they were off duty, their swift actions helped save Melissa’s life as she was choking.

Amazing job! You can read more here: https://www.stamfordadvocate.com/hdn/hrlm/p/callback.html
