From: City of StamfordYesterday, I was honored to present a proclamation in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, which occurs annually from September 15 - October 15.
Thank you to all the members of our Hispanic American community for the contributions you make to our City. Stamford’s greatest strength is our diversity, and I will continue to work with all our community partners to ensure we create a more equitable and inclusive City where every resident can thrive.
Stamford Fire New Incident Command Technology
Wednesday, Director of Public Safety, Health, and Welfare Lou DeRubeis and I visited the Stamford Regional Fire Training Center to view the new incident command technology that is in the new incident command vehicle.
This command unit has built-in technology to support incident command and will help improve the way the Stamford Fire Department manages incidents, from small incident responses to large-scale disaster responses.
Most importantly, this technology will help to save lives, as it has live-incident mapping, as well as tracks the amount of air a firefighter is consuming and if they are running low, which will allow the firefighters to make quicker decisions on-site because they are receiving that information in real time.
This is just one platform where I will be sharing updates on a weekly basis, but you can also connect with me and my administration on the platforms below:
-Follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
-Follow the City of Stamford on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
-Send me an email at [email protected] and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
And of course, I will be out and about across the city every week visiting with local businesses, meeting with constituents, and hearing from stakeholders in our city – so I hope I’ll be able to talk to you in person very soon.
Have a wonderful weekend!
