National Bootleggers Day -
During the 1800s, the term bootlegger came into use in the Midwest. The word described the act of concealing flasks of liquor in a boot top when going to trade with Native Americans. The term found its permanent place in the American vocabulary when Congress passed the Eighteenth Amendment prohibiting the manufacture, transportation, and sale of alcohol in 1920.
National Classy Day -
Today we celebrate those who are graced with the ability to live their lives with class, passion, and who are driven to share it with others.

LIVING IN THE CREEK
I take a lot for granted living in the creek. Snow is plowed almost immediately. Trash is picked up on a regular basis, most times. Compared to surrounding communities we are relatively safe and drug free. We have multiple amenities for a community our size. We even have a Police Force that looks out for us. I received a phone call about midnight Monday night reminding me that I had left my garage door open. What a cool place to live where people take the time to look out for one another and check up on each other.
