The NWS expects a strong cold front to create the possibility of heavy rainfall and strong winds on Tuesday in an area that includes Sugar Land. The main threat of these showers and storms will be mostly between 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and especially between noon to 4 p.m. when the cold front passes through. Please help keep storm drains clear, secure loose items around homes and avoid parking/driving on streets that flood. Storms passing through Sugar Land could produce isolated areas of excessive rainfall and strong winds with gusts of 30-50 mph, so power outages could be a concern.
