Homebuyer Education Class

Together with Cadence Bank, the City of Temple will be hosting a free homebuyer education course on Thursday, March 6, starting at 5:30 p.m. The seminar will be held at the City of Temple Housing Resource Center at 101 N. Main Street. During the seminar, participants will learn about credit scores, homebuyer incentives, the home-buying process, home affordability, and more! Click here to register.

Historic Preservation Information Meeting

On March 9, learn the advantages and responsibilities of living in a designated local historic district within the City of Temple. This will be an opportunity to ask questions of the city’s panel of experts who have direct involvement in the functioning of the historic district. Various City departments will be present to offer further information. Let’s get to know our city officials and learn how we can work cooperatively to maintain, promote, and enjoy our historic districts! Light snacks & refreshments will be provided. No registration is required, and the meeting will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe Depot, 315 W. Ave. B.\

2023 Temple Community Treasures Visual Arts Contest

Submissions are open until March 31st for the 2023 Temple Community Treasures Photography and Painting Contest. The Temple Main Street Program is conducting this contest to draw community attention to the importance of protecting and preserving our historic buildings.
