VETERANS DAY - November 11, 2022
City Hall is closed today, Friday, November 11, 2022, in recognition of the Veterans Day Holiday. The date of Veterans Day relates to the end of World War I, when an armistice was signed on the 11th day of the 11th month, and was 'the war to end all wars.' Countless men and women, since that time, have continued to proudly serve this country and enter into harms way, so we can all enjoy the freedoms we have today! So, please thank a veteran for his or her service and remember the heroes that never returned home from the battlefield. City Hall will reopen on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 8:00 a.m.
*** Hometown Hero Banner Program ***
Now Available through the City of Wildwood, Mo.
On this Veterans Day, the City is proud to announce its inaugural Hometown Hero Banner Program! Hometown Hero Banners are a great way to give living tribute and honor those who have served or continue to serve in the United States Armed Forces. The Program honors past and present members by featuring local heroes on banners that will be displayed along Manchester Road (between Taylor Road and Eatherton Road), twice per year, in celebration of Memorial Day and Veterans Day.
