Jigsaw Puzzle Sale
Don't miss out!

Next week is the final week of our summer puzzle sale. We have some beautiful jigsaw puzzles by Cobble Hill, Ravensburger, Thomas Kinkade, Charles Wysocki, and others. Stock up now for a rainy or snowy day. 1,000-piece puzzles are $5; 500-piece are $2. Buy 2 and get 1 of the same size for free.

Plainfield Fish Hatchery Walk
Tues., August 29 at 8 a.m.

Join Andy as he guides you around the grounds of one of the top birdwatching spots in Windham County. Expect sandpipers and other shorebirds, early migrating songbirds, and raptors. Email [email protected]  to register. Fee: $20 members, $30 non-members.

Nighthawk Watch
Wed., August 30 at 6 p.m.

Hike around the sanctuary looking for birds and watching the sky for nighthawks. Register via email to [email protected]  Fee: $10 members, $20 non-members.

Nature Sketchbook Journaling
Saturday, August 26 at 10 a.m.

Join Roxanne Steed to learn the practice of the 10-minute-sketch-walk. Go outside for short walks with sketchbooks, and then come back inside to finish your pages with paint and details. Discuss ways to make your images into larger paintings. Suggested supplies: watercolor sketchbook, permanent marker, portable watercolor kit, small cup to hold water, and paper towels. Fee: $15 CAS members; $25 non-members. Register by calling 860-928-4948.
