April 24, 2023

5:00 pm: Statue Unveiling at Veterans Park - Map

Get ready for an unforgettable experience as we unveil the brand new Malinda Allison Hunt Kelley Covington Statue! The excitement begins at 5:30 pm sharp with a special program at the Old School Museum to kick off Cotton Days week. And that's not all! After the event, from 6:30-7:30 pm, there will be even more fun and festivities to enjoy. Don't miss out on this amazing celebration!

8:00 pm: Music Concert at Veterans Park

Get ready for an incredible evening of music and fun with Bell View at Veterans Park on Thursday, April 27th from 8-9 PM! And the best part? It's completely FREE! This is an event that the whole family will love, with great music and a fantastic atmosphere. Bell View is a band that formed about 8 years ago when husband and wife, Caydin and Summer Bell, were studying at Snow College. They quickly became a hit and started playing gigs all over the state, from weddings to corporate events and everything in between. The band is made up of an incredible group of individuals, including a stay-at-home mom, a violin teacher, a clinical researcher, a substitute teacher, and, of course, professional musicians. Don't miss this chance to experience the amazing sound of Bell View, and learn more about the band's origins and how they've grown over the years. And who knows, maybe you'll even get to meet Caydin, who grew up in Washington! So mark your calendars and get ready to groove to some great tunes in the park with Bell View!

6:00 pm: Historical Society Night at Veterans Park

Get ready for a fantastic family evening out at Veterans Park! We're kicking things off with an amazing ice cream social, museum tour, and wagon rides to the Covington Home - there's something for everyone to enjoy! But the fun doesn't stop there! Afterward, we'll be screening a Movie in the Park. There's no better way to end a perfect day than with a great film under the stars! The movie will begin as soon as the sun sets, so don't forget to bring your blankets and chairs.

7:30 pm: Movie in the Park at Veterans Park

Are you ready for an amazing evening at Veterans Park, sponsored by the Washington Area Chamber of Commerce? We've got an incredible movie lined up for the whole family, along with some awesome vendors and delicious food - it's the perfect way to spend an evening!
And the best part? The movie is a Place Holder, which is sure to be a crowd-pleaser! So grab your family and friends, bring your blankets and chairs, and settle in for a fantastic night under the stars.
The movie will start at dusk, so make sure to arrive early to enjoy all the amazing vendors and food on offer. It's going to be an unforgettable evening that you won't want to miss!

7:00 am: Lion's Club Breakfast at Veterans Park

Start your Saturday off right with a scrumptious breakfast that's sure to please! Join us at Veterans Park from 7 AM - 10:00 AM for a mouthwatering meal of ham, eggs, and pancakes, prepared by the amazing Washington Utah Lions Club.

But that's not all - not only will you be treated to a delicious breakfast, but you'll also be supporting some incredible causes! All funds raised will go towards helping Washington City community service projects, scholarships, and sight programs - so you can enjoy your breakfast knowing you're making a real difference in our community.

And here's a special treat: our very own Mayor Kress Staheli might even be there personally serving you! It's the perfect opportunity to chat with our city leader and enjoy a fantastic breakfast at the same time.

Bring your appetite, bring your cash, and come on down to Veterans Park for an unforgettable breakfast experience that you won't want to miss!

 7:00 am: 5K at Sullivan Virgin River Soccer Park - Map

It is time to lace up your running shoes for the 2023 Cotton Days 5k - a fun-filled family run down the beautiful Virgin River Trail, starting at Sullivan Soccer Park!

Registration is only $25 for the first family member, with a special discounted rate of just $15 for each additional family member (up to 6 people). And that's not all - all participants will receive a free Cotton Days 5k shirt when they pick up their bibs and race materials from 6 AM - 7 AM at the starting line.
But the fun doesn't stop there! After the race, all participants will receive a free breakfast voucher to enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast - it's the perfect way to refuel and celebrate your achievement!

There won't be any medals, but every participant will receive a free Cotton Days 5k shirt to remember this amazing experience. 9:00 am: Parade at Telegraph Street

Get ready to join the fun and excitement at the parade on Saturday, April 29th! The parade lineup will be from 7:30-8:30 am sharp, so make sure to arrive early and get in position. Don't worry, we'll send you all the details, including the map and your entry number, via email before the big day.
The parade will kick off at 9 am on the dot, so get ready to show off your best moves and decorations! And don't forget about the prizes - we'll be awarding the Mayor's Choice Award and the Best Themed Award, so make sure to bring your A-game.

10:00 am: Cotton Fest at Veterans Park

It's time to get ready for an epic birthday celebration for Washington City! We're bringing back all the beloved traditions, including the Parade and the 5K Run, and capping it off with the amazing Cotton Fest at Veterans Park.
You won't want to miss all the fun and festivities, including live entertainment and dance performances, vendor booths filled with goodies, games for all ages, bounce houses, a heritage show, and even a tractor pull!

10:00 am: Car Show at Nisson Park

Rev up your engines and shine up those wheels because it's time for a free Car Show-N-Shine! Bring your friends and follow the parade down to Nisson Park, where you'll be treated to a spectacular display of amazing cars.

10:00 am: Washington City Heritage Show at Relief Society Hall

Celebrate the history of Washington City at the Heritage Show on Saturday, April 29, at the historic Relief Society Hall! View local art and meet the artists at the Art Show, with Mayor Staheli presenting awards. The Southern Utah Weavers will be carding, spinning & weaving cotton, with an activity for the kids. The Coral Canyon Quilters will display heritage and modern quilts, with one on the frame for you to try. Relax in the shade and be entertained by the Mesquite Western Poets performing cowboy poetry and music from 10 AM – 2 PM. See you at the Relief Society Hall—Don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind experience!

11:00 am: Tractor Pull at Vacant Lot by old Nisson's Foodtown

Y'all ready for a rootin'-tootin' good time? We've got an event that's sure to knock your boots off - and it's free for everyone to attend! Just head on over to the old Nisson's Foodtown parking lot and get ready to be amazed by these incredible antique tractors. They'll be putting on a show you won't want to miss. 6:00 pm: Sunday Fireside at Old School Museum

Come and be inspired by the incredible stories of the Pioneer Women who helped shape Washington City! Join us for a special devotional that celebrates their strength, sacrifice, and spirit. We've got an amazing program lined up for you, including a tour at 6 pm and a captivating depiction of the lives of the Dixie Cotton Mission women at 6:30 pm. This all takes place at the old school museum and rec hall - the perfect setting to honor these amazing women. After the program, stick around for some delicious refreshments and the chance to connect with others who share your appreciation for Washington City's history. It's going to be a Sunday Devotional you won't soon forget!
