Kendra Gordillo will share her 2022 pilgrimage experience to what is now known as Camino Primitivo. The “Way of Saint James,” or Camino de Santiago, is a pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, in Galicia (Spain), whose origin goes back to the 9th century, when Spanish King Alfonso II completed the first-ever pilgrimage to Santiago from Oviedo.

It's the Opening Lecture and Reception for “Norma Minkowitz: Body to Soul.” The lecture, by Sarah Parrish, will introduce the solo exhibition surveying the artist’s four-decade engagement with the physical and symbolic properties of thread. Minkowitz reinvents traditional needlework by crocheting fantastical forms, coating them in resin and shellac to create rigid sculptures and hangings. Reception in the Great Hall 6pm
