David McCormick Has Threatened Social Security, Which Millions of Pennsylvanians Rely On

PENNSYLVANIA — The 89th anniversary of the Social Security Act being signed into law is a reminder that David McCormick has threatened to put the program on the chopping block.

During his 2022 Senate campaign, McCormick pushed to gut Social Security and Medicare, a move that would increase health care costs and rip away benefits earned through a lifetime of work from millions of Pennsylvanians.

Pennsylvania Democratic Party spokesperson TaNisha Cameron issued the following statement:

“David McCormick has repeatedly threatened Social Security, a program that millions of Pennsylvanians rely on, while supporting policies that benefit big corporations and the wealthiest Americans. McCormick’s out-of-touch agenda will continue to prioritize his Wall Street friends over working families.”
