Dearborn Summer Youth Theatre presents “In the Heights” July 29 and 30 at in the Michael A. Guido Theater 

Dearborn, MI - The Dearborn Summer Youth Theatre will present “In the Heights” July 29 and 30 in the Michael A. Guido Theater at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave. Performances are Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

“In the Heights'' tells the tale of hopes, dreams, and struggles that bind together the close-knit community in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City. The Dearborn Summer Youth Theatre’s production of the Tony Award-winning musical showcases a talented cast of singers, dancers, and actors, ages 13 and up, from the Dearborn community.

Director Rashid Baydoun stated, “We are proud to bring this production to the local stage through the Dearborn Summer Youth Theatre program. Our production pays homage to the resilience, dreams, and contributions of immigrant communities. ”

Tickets, priced at $22, are available for purchase online at DearbornTheater.com and in person at the Ford Center’s Theater Box Office this Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
