“Nature & Science Discovery PreK”
Thursdays, 10am
Nurture your little one’s love of science! Investigate nature through hands-on explorations, stories, and crafts Thursdays in December. No registration required. Recommended for ages 2-5 with an adult caregiver.
“Saturday Family Science – Igloos”
Saturday, December 3, 10am-noon
Explore architecture and insulation while building sugar cube igloos. No registration required. Recommended for ages 6 and up, adult caregiver participation is required.
NEW! “Teen Takeover: Game Night”
Wednesday, December 14, 6pm-8pm
The museum hits different when it’s only open to teens. Play with the exhibits, make and experiment with S.T.E.A.M. activities, eat snacks, and play games during these extended hours just for teens. No registration required. This program is for teens ages 12 – 17.
“STEAMpunk – Alexander Miles, inventor”
Saturday, December 17, 10am
Discover the stories behind science heroes who break barriers and explore the application of their research through hands-on experiments and activities. Alexander Miles invented a safety feature for elevator lifts. Build a working lift and develop creative ways to keep its users safe. No registration required. Recommended for ages 6 and over.
“Live Animal Feedings”
Saturdays, December 3, 10, and 17, 11am
It’s brunch time! Watch and learn how different species of animals eat, and what they eat. Animal feedings take place in the gallery at the Museum of Nature & Science. No registration required, all ages.
