Forest Home Cemetery & Arboretum hosts the area’s only cemetery-based Dia de los Muertos festival!

Walk/Run

The day kicks off with a 5K run or a 2-mile walk through the cemetery. Free Dia de los Muertos festival t-shirt with all registrations.

Vendors at the festival mercado

Altares and ofrendas for the dead in our chapel

Traditional decorations including cempazuchi, papel picado and hand-made catrinas

Ofrendas (offerings to the dead) in the chapel, made by local schools and community groups

Paseo de las Almas procession from the chapel to the Our Lady of Guadalupe burial section

Activities including face painting and decorating sugar skulls

Arts and crafts with Milwaukee Art Museum & Kohl's Art Studio
