Denver Regional Council of Governments seeks input on grant applications by Wednesday, Feb. 22
How should state and federal funding for transportation projects be used? Your feedback matters.
The Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) is responsible for selecting projects using a combination of state and federal funding, and the organization wants your feedback before selecting projects through its annual Transportation Improvement Program.
Use DRCOG’s interactive map to explore project proposals and provide your feedback. Project information is available for proposed projects located throughout the Denver Metro Area. Your feedback on project applications is vital and due by Wednesday, Feb. 22
Douglas County has requested funding for two projects:
Douglas County Transit Pilot: Douglas County is requesting funding to implement portions of pilot transit projects defined in the County’s upcoming Transit and Multimodal Feasibility Study. The County plans to gather public input for the study starting in 2023.
Colorado Boulevard Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge over C-470: Douglas County is requesting funding to design a bicycle and pedestrian bridge over C-470 at Colorado Boulevard.
Municipalities within Douglas County – Castle Pines, Castle Rock, Lone Tree and Parker – have also submitted project applications requesting funding assistance from DRCOG. These projects are detailed along with Douglas County’s proposals on the DRCOG interactive map.
The Denver Regional Council of Governments is an association of local governments and regional agencies committed to protecting and enhancing the quality of life in the Denver metropolitan area.
Among many other important functions, DRCOG serves as the region’s Metropolitan Planning Organization. MPOs coordinate regional transportation planning to address important regional needs through the Regional Transportation Plan and distribute funds to transportation projects through the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) project selection process.
