University of Arkansas entomologist to speak at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area

Dr. Austin Jones to answer common questions about pollinators

(ROGERS, Ark.) – Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area will host a free pollinator program on Sunday, June 25, at 2 p.m., at the visitor center, 20201 E. Hwy. 12, Rogers. Dr. Austin Jones, a University of Arkansas entomologist, will answer common questions about pollinators. The program is open to the public and registration is not required

Jones will explain how the interdependent relationship between plants and animals has created a diversity of pollinators. He will answer common questions about what plants are good for pollinators and where to plant them, how pollinators help vegetable gardens, and what pollinators you should expect to attract to your yard or garden.

Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area

Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area is the largest of Arkansas’s 52 state parks. This day-use park includes a 54-mile trail system and is the only state park in Arkansas to allow regulated hunting.
