Celebrate the Season in Dunedin!

The City of Dunedin Parks & Recreation Department is hosting the following family-friendly events to celebrate the season and all the wonderful holiday offerings that make Dunedin so delightful this time of year:

Volunteers Wanted

Calling all teens, adults, teams and non-profit organizations! Dunedin Parks & Recreation is looking for volunteers to help with our annual Old Fashioned Christmas event this Saturday, December 10, between the hours of 4-9:30 pm in downtown Dunedin. This experience is a great way to volunteer with friends, fulfill service hours and be a part of a fun, traditional community event. Help is needed with kids crafts, games, train ride, carriage ride, snow slide and Santa elves.

Intergenerational Week: December 4-10

The City of Dunedin Parks & Recreation Department, along with the Dunedin Library and Dunedin Committee on Aging, is hosting a full week of activities in celebration of Intergenerational Week 2022.

Intergenerational Week provides an opportunity to honor children, teens, adults and elders; and celebrate people of diverse backgrounds, ages and the gifts and experiences they can share with each other.

Free activities during the week include an Essay Contest, Intergenerational Drum Circle, Preschool Power Hour, Music Mash, Chair Volleyball and more.

Winter Wonderland Golf Camp

Ages 5-15
Stirling Park Driving Range

While the kids are out of school during the holiday break, sign them up to come and play golf! Learn from our PGA Pro Paul Sylvester as you work on your driving, putting and chipping through fun and interactive games.

Week 1: Tues-Fri, Dec. 27-30
Week 2: Tues-Fri, Jan. 3-6
9am-1pm. $100/week

Jack Frost Holiday Camp

VPK-5th Graders
MLK, Jr. Recreation Center

What are you doing with the kids over Holiday break? Sign them up for our Jack Frost Camp - two weeks to choose from. Our Recreation Staff will keep them busy with holiday games and activities, crafts and treats! It's sure to be holly, jolly and joyful! 

Week 1: Tuesday-Friday, December 27-30
Week 2: Tuesday-Friday, January 3-6
9 am-5 pm: $95/week
7:30 am-6 pm: $115/week

Youth Flag Football

Ages 6-16

A cooperative instructional youth league with several North Pinellas cities designed to teach the skills and rules of the game for new or seasoned players.

Divisions:
6-9yrs, 10-13yrs, 14-16yrs

Evaluations:
 - Wed, Jan. 4 or 11 (evening)
 - Sat, Jan. 7 (morning)
Time varies based on age division. Evaluations are mandatory. Players only have to attend one evaluation day. 

Season / Games:
January 27 - March 18
Games: Fri & Sat

Youth Track Program

Ages 5-15

The cities of Dunedin, Largo, Palm Harbor, Pinellas Park, Safety Harbor and Seminole have combined to form the North City Track Program. Focus on self improvement and challenge yourself at local track meets. Excellent fitness conditioning for any young athlete.

Season / Practice:
January 11 - May 3
Weds, 6-7:00 pm

Track Meets:
1st Wednesday of each month, 6-7:30 pm.
Feb-April: at Dunedin
May: at Safety Harbor

Fit Kids Sports: Basketball

Ages 5-8
Thursdays, 5:30-6:15 pm
Dunedin Community Center

Ready, set, play! Join Coach Ryan Koster to learn new sports skills through individual and group games. Our goals include building confidence, being active and having fun. Enjoy a different sport every month.

$50/month. Register online or in person at Dunedin Community Center.
