ECPA presents “An Intimate Evening with Matt Bogart”
Building on the success of their newest fundraising series, the Elmhurst Centre for Performing Arts continues to bring in nationally recognized talent with their next event, “An Intimate Evening with Matt Bogart”.
Actor Matt Bogart starred in Jersey Boys on Broadway as Nick Massi for eight years after which time, he went on to direct the show. He starred as Willie O’Brien, opposite Tony Award winning Best Actress, Joaquina Kalukango in Paradise Square. Broadway’s Matt Bogart also starred in Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida, Miss Saigon, and Smokey Joe’s Café.
Growing up on a farm north of Dayton Ohio, Matt enjoyed farm life and competitive sports. He attended Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory in Cleveland Ohio where he played on their renowned Division III football team while majoring in Musical Theatre.
Join ECPA as Matt tells his story navigating “The Great White Way” and shares songs from his new album. He will be joined on stage by Elmhurst singer and theatre artist, Tatum Langley of Postmodern Jukebox and Shout Section Big Band. Local favorite, pianist Jeff Panko, will accompany Matt and ECPA Board Member Becky Marianetti will moderate a Question & Answer session at the end of the evening.
“An Intimate Evening with Matt Bogart” is made possible, in part, by the support of Elmhurst University, CyberOptik, and Peter Monk Craig Creative. The event takes place on September 8th in Buik Recital Hall, Irion Hall Elmhurst University. Doors open at 6:30pm. Show begins at 7pm. Limited tickets available.
