Peter Bertelsen Park Renovation Final Concept Design
On July 13, 2023, the EDHCSD Board approved the final concept design for the Bertelsen Park renovations. The new amenities include:
- Firefighting themed 1,050 square foot, colored concrete splash pad with shower tower
- Large rentable shade structure
- 10 picnic tables and 2 barbecue grills
- Prefabricated restrooms
- Drinking fountain with bottle filler and dog bowl
- Benches and landscaping
Peter Bertelsen Park also includes a large grass area, playground, and parking lot that are not part of the renovation. Construction is anticipated in 2024.

Join the LLAD Advisory Committee
The District’s newest committee is the Citizens Advisory Committee for Landscape and Lighting Assessment Districts (LLADs) - known as the LLAD Advisory Committee. This committee reviews budgeted vs. actual costs, issues with underfunded LLADs, and learns about LLAD financials and various LLAD operations. Those on the Committee serve as a liaison between the LLAD community and the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors appoints each member at a regular public meeting. Lifeguardpalooza
Congratulations to our El Dorado Hills CSD Lifeguards for winning the Northern California Lifeguardpalooza Overall Team Championship! Our lifeguards have been the reigning champions since 2015 and did a great job this year.

Attention seniors!
Open Enrollment for Medicare will begin on October 15th! As such, Medicare plan benefits and premiums (and even specific plan availability) may change. The Health Insurance and Counselling Program (HICAP), run by El Dorado County Health and Human Services, provides free, unbiased, individual Medicare plan counseling to residents of El Dorado County throughout the year. HICAP is not associated with any insurance company.
