Schools and Libraries

Dear Library Friends and Followers,
Our small but mighty Library is shining brightly in these dark winter months, and we’re reaching out to you to help us keep the lights on. This year, we’ve been working hard to grow our community partnerships and our relationships with local businesses. Whenever possible, the Emily Williston Memorial Library hires and buys locally, and we love working with the Council on Aging, the Easthampton Schools, Easthampton Healthy Youth Coalition and Easthampton Learning Foundation, and other local groups to create integrated programs and services for the whole City.
It was our great joy to resume in person programming this year, and to celebrate exploration and the outdoors with our Summer Reading program. From book clubs and climate workshops to Pokémon and Family Storytime, the Library has something for every patron.
The Emily Williston Memorial Library is an independent non-profit, which means that while we enjoy some City support, we provide public library services on a shoestring. We ask for your donation because we know that we can make it count—every dollar you share with us means a Home Delivery, a great new book or resource, or a guarantee that we can pay our incredible staff a fair wage.
If you are able, please consider supporting the Emily Williston Memorial Library this year. You can do so by donating via Paypal, or by mailing a check to us, payable to the Emily Williston Memorial Library, at 9 Park Street, Easthampton MA, 01027. If you are unable to give financially, but would like to support us in other ways, please consider volunteering your time or skills, or sending a letter to your elected officials sharing how much you value the Library.
Thank you, and we hope to see you soon.
