MADISON, Wis. — Eric Hovde has continuously insulted Wisconsinites, saying people in nursing homes shouldn’t vote, telling young people they lack work ethic, and infamously calling regular people ‘deplorable.’

Hovde said in an interview, that he thought it was “deplorable” how little regular people know about the world, blaming it on females spending ‘too much time focused on Hollywood’ and males spending too much time focused on ‘sports and fantasy sports.’

And in an independent fact check of Hovde’s comments, the Wisconsin State Journal found that Hovde was “an equal-opportunity offender” in insulting both Wisconsin men and WIsconsin women.
