The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison
Tuesday, October 3 from 6:30 - 7:30pm
Join us for our next Blackstone Banned Book Club meeting! The purpose of this book club is to simultaneously discuss these titles, and to bring awareness to the rapid rise of book challenges and bans. This month we're reading The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison.
Registration is required to attend this IN PERSON event.
The Blackstone Library has a limited number of copies of these titles available for book club participants. If you are interested in obtaining a library copy, please call us at (203) 488-1441 ext. 318 or email [email protected]. Copies are first come, first served.

Awakening to Change:
A Social Justice Discussion Group
Thursday, October 12 from 7 - 8pm
Join us at Awakening to Change for real and honest discussions about race in and around us; in our country, our places of work and in our communities. Our topics often mirror daily headlines, and we provide a safe space to cover hot issues like CRT, voter suppression, white privilege and excessive policing policies. If you're curious, want to discover more about racial justice, or just want to learn, don't miss this chance to hear others experiences and to participate in the sometimes difficult conversations with respect and empathy.
While we do sometimes read a specific book, this is not a book club per se. Participants will be provided with reading materials before each Zoom session if, and as required.
Registration is required to receive a link to this ONLINE event.
