Valentine’s Day is meant to be all about love – but what do we really mean by love? Love for a special someone? A family member? A pet? How about a place? Or even a love of food? Local writers from the New England Indie Authors Collective, and special guest Stephanie Schorow will answer the question “What’s Love Got to Do With It” in prose and performance. Authors Randy Ross, Judah Leblang and Jason M. Rubin explore love from happiness to heartbreak, gay and straight, factual to fairy tale. Stephanie Schorow is known for her nonfiction books on the Cocoanut Grove Nightclub fire, Boston’s notorious sexual playground, the Combat Zone and the Great Boston Fire. Bring a date or a loved one (adults only, please) and enjoy the depth of the human heart.

This workshop is designed to help you drift off to sleep! We will practice lying down in bed, starting with the humming exercise to soothe the nervous system, sleep affirmations, and Yoga Nidra meditation (A type of body scan meditation that helps with falling asleep/deep rest and relaxation), followed by a sound bath. Class will end without any check in or goodbye so you can drift off to sleep peacefully or wind down for bed!

Join Emma Green in this exploration of the ways that Americans are divided - politically, religiously, economically, and within families. What has caused these ruptures and what are some ways for us to come back together? Pulling from the many, many people she has spoken to over the years as well as her articles on the Federalist Society, the Supreme Court, and Affirmative Action, Emma will lead us in this difficult but essential discussion!
