All ages are invited to join us for coffee and cocoa from Honey Joe's Family Coffeehouse and meet Sgt. James Comstock, Officer Lou Scarano with his K-9 Wrigley, and Officer Dan Kokkoros with this K-9 Kobe. The officers and their canine partners are members of the Stamford Police Department Explosives Unit. The officers will describe their work, conduct a demonstration and answer questions.

A Conversation with Former Capitol Police Chief Steven A. Sund

Author Steven Sund will discuss his book Courage Under Fire, his account of the events leading to the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, the minute-by-minute details of the attack and his testimony before the Select Committee to investigate the attack. The conversation will be moderated by John Breunig, Editorial Page Editor of The Advocate and Greenwich Time. Q & A, book sale and signing to follow.

Mini-Golf at the Harry Bennett Branch

Fun for the whole family! Mini golf returns to the Harry Bennett Branch Saturday, February 11 and Sunday, February 12 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Tickets are $5 per person, per round. Under three plays for free. Refreshments at the "19th hole." Many thanks to all our sponsors, especially our title sponsor, First County Bank. Covid-19 Vaccination Clinics

Free Covid-19 vaccines and boosters will be available to adults and children from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Main Library on weekdays. No appointment necessary. Please bring your vaccine and insurance cards if you have them. In addition to primary vaccines, Pfizer and Moderna Bivariant boosters will be available.

This clinic is offered in partnership with the Stamford Health Department and Griffin Health.

Warm for the Winter Mitten Drive

Drop off new or clean gently used gloves, mittens, scarves and hats for children (any age) and adults at any Ferguson Library location. All donations will be distributed to our neighbors through Person to Person. Donations will be accepted to Friday, January 6.

Open Enrollment Period for 2023 health and dental insurance coverage. Representatives from Access Health CT will be on the library's second floor weekdays through January 13 to help you enroll in or renew a Qualified Health Plan (QHP) and/or Stand-Alone Dental Plan (SADP). Whether you are renewing coverage or looking at insurance options for the first time, Access Health CT can help you understand how to enroll and what to expect during Open Enrollment. Tell Your Story Project

We have resumed our oral history project, Tell Your Story, an effort to capture Stamford's history through the lives of its residents. If you are a long-time resident and would like to share memories of growing up in Stamford, please let us know. We welcome photos and other memorabilia, too.
