Schedule of the Events:

Rumors by Neil Simon

Comedy, Musical Theatre and Big Band Concerts

Marleen Forkas Studio One Theatre, Florida Atlantic, Boca Raton

Directed by Lee Soroko

Neil Simon's "Rumors" is a fast-paced comedy set in 1988 that revolves around four couples who gather for the 10th wedding anniversary at the affluent home of Deputy Mayor of New York, Charley Brock, and his wife, Myra. The misadventures begin with Charley being shot and Myra missing, and panic ensues as the guests attempt to keep the situation under control with increasingly elaborate antics to shield Charlie and, more importantly, themselves from scandal. Simon’s mastery of storytelling and comedic dialogue creates a satirical take on the lives of the affluent as he weaves a tale that is both entertaining and thought-provoking.
