FAM Achieves Institutional Reaccreditation!

We are very proud to announce that the Fitchburg Art Museum has again received accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums (AAM), the highest recognition afforded to our country’s museums. Of the 30,000+ museums in America, only 1,100 are currently accredited.

According to AAM, “Through a rigorous process of self-assessment and review by its peers, the museum has shown itself to be a good steward of its resources held in the public trust and committed to a philosophy of continual institutional growth. The museum is a highly effective, community-engaged institution and a model of rapid agility to be relevant to changing audiences, making it a beloved community resource.”
