PIERRE, S.D. - On June 24, 2025, Governor Larry Rhoden ordered that flags be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol from sunrise until sunset on Saturday, June 28, 2025, in honor of former state legislator Royal “Mac” McCracken. He represented Pennington County in the South Dakota State Senate from 2001-2008. 

Memorial services will be held 3:00 pm MT on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at South Canyon Lutheran Church in Rapid City, SD.
