Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra Celebrates Burning Love Valentine Music with New February Concert Performances

The Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra is continuing their dynamic new series of extraordinary 2024 concert performances. With about 50 musicians from Lake County and all over the world, their musical talents are brought right here to you each year.

February 15 & 16 2024 Concerts: They will be ready to help you celebrate Valentine's Week for a night of Valentine's love with your sweetheart. They will begin the concert with "Les Toreadors" -- The Bullfighters and "Habanera" from the opera, Carmen; the scene will be set for the hottest romantic music. The orchestra will bring you the well-known violin solo tango from the movie, "Scent of a Woman," followed by a duet: violin/baritone by Konstantin Dimitrov and Marco Romano in the tender "Mi Manquerai" -- Il Postino." The Orchestra will take you on a trip to South America with "The Girl from Ipanema," "La Bamba," and to Cuba for Guantanamera." Latin blood will be hot across the water, as they will take you to Spain with "España Cani." The Italian sun will shine in the famous solo, "O Sole Mio" sung by Marco, and Morricone's films are honored with "Cinema Paradiso" with a violin solo Konstantin Dimitrov and "Gabriel's Oboe" for an oboe solo by Cesar Rangel. The cheeky, "Bésame Mucho" will be sung by Marco Romano before the violin masterpiece -- "Zigeunerweisen," Sarasate gypsy airs with another virtuoso violin solo by Konstantin Dimitrov. The concert finishes with a flourish with the exciting Latin heartbeat of "Tico Tico." Paul Hostetter returns to conduct this triumph of "Latin Valentine."

More For Season 19! On March 21 & 22, "Western Serenade" will be presented with "High Noon", "On the Trail" and other cowboy favorites plus Dvorak's "New World Symphony" with guest conductor Carl Topilow. The April 18 & 19, 2024 Cherry Blossoms Concert with Spring Pops Impressions will be led by guest conductor, Shungo Moriyama coming here from Japan. Central Florida Concert Locations: The new 2024 Concert Season will have their first night concerts held in Eustis and their second night performances will be held in Winter Garden, Florida. The Thursday performances for this new season will start at 7:30 PM at the at Unitarian Universalist, located at 1235 Mount Homer Road in Eustis, FL 32726, right behind Publix. The Friday night South Lake concert will be performed at the Church of the Messiah located at 241 North Main Street in historic Winter Garden, FL 34787 at 7:30 PM. Come early for your choice of seating.

The FLSO was established by European composer and pianist, Guy Saint-Clair and his wife, portrait artist and CEO Audrey Sanders in 2005. Bulgarian virtuoso violinist, Konstantin Dimitrov, has anchored the FLSO as Concert Master since 2006.

Florida Lakes Symphony History: In 2005, the internationally respected classical concert pianist and composer Guy Saint-Clair came to Lake County from their home in Europe with his wife and portrait artist Audrey Sanders. That same year they established Lake County's first professional symphony orchestra, the Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra. Through the years, they have hosted a series of guest conductors from around the world. With the immense guiding light and musical sense of the Founder, Guy Saint-Clair with supportive artistic and administrative skills of the co-founder, Audrey Sanders as Executive Director, this orchestra was established as a formidable force on the cultural scene of Central Florida.

Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra: Individual concert tickets are still only $42 in advance or $45 at the door. Students are only $15 with accompanying parents or teachers are only $25.
