Government and Politics

November 5, 2024

- President Trump Wins Florida By 13 Points The Largest Margin for a Presidential Candidate in 36 Years

- Florida Democrats Collapse Under the Crush of Support For Republican Candidates

- Senator Scott Claims Largest Electoral Margin in His Career, Entire Florida Republican Delegation Retained, Republican Majority Returned to the Florida Legislature, Radical Amendments 3 and 4 Defeated

- Flipped Miami-Dade County Red

Tallahassee - Florida Republicans went into November 5th in a strong position, and the turnout lead continued to grow, guaranteeing historic numbers for President Trump’s reelection, he won by 13 points and Senator Rick Scott’s large victory as well. All of Florida’s congressional delegation won re-election, and our strong majorities in the state legislature remain intact. The defeat of the dangerous and deceptive Amendments 3 and 4 is a badge of honor for all who worked tirelessly to secure their rejection.

Florida voters came through for Republican candidates. Going into Election Day, Florida Republicans had out-voted Florida Democrats by 1.2 million GOP voters. Over 4.6 million Republicans cast ballots in the 2024 election, 86% voter turnout – both are record numbers.

This enthusiasm for our candidates and mobilized by the Florida GOP ground game, flipped Miami Dade county, Florida’s largest, that Biden won in 2020.

“Florida Republicans should take a bow. We knew we were in a strong position to win before today, but we are overwhelmed by the immense support Florida voters gave our Republican candidates—starting with President Donald J. Trump, Senator Rick Scott, our Florida Congressional delegation, and the rejection of the dangerous and deceptive Amendments 3 and 4,” said Chairman Evan Power.

“I am beyond grateful for the teamwork and dedication shown by our outstanding candidates, staff, volunteers and grassroots leaders, all true rockstars who have worked tirelessly to inform our voters and get out the vote. I would gladly join them in the trenches anytime,” said Power. “Florida has once again done its job by delivering the state for President Trump, who will make America great again and restore the American Dream for all,” said Power.
