Food List, Days & Hours Open JPC Food Pantry

The food that will be given to the sausage gumbo, eggs, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, egg noodles, rice, cream of chicken soup, assorted cans, fresh produce, tomatoes, fresh fruit, cookies, cereal, bread, etc.

 

The JPC Free Choice Food Pantry days and hours are open:

Monday, October 21, 2024, from 3 pm to 6 pm

Tuesday, October 22, 2024. from 3 pm to 6 pm

Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 11 am to 1 pm

Friday, October 25, 2024, from 9 pm to 12 noon, with particular emphasis on seniors, individuals with physical disabilities, and people with special needs. We offer designated handicapped parking and a shopper to deliver food directly to your vehicle.

 

We welcome all low-income families, seniors, and single individuals who meet the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) low-income eligibility requirement. (See below) We are open late afternoons,

evenings, and recently added mornings.

 

You can live in Utica, Rome, the Mohawk Valley, or other surrounding areas. Please contact your friends and family on social media, text, e-mail, or call them to come to the JPC Food Pantry on the days and hours we are open.

 

For all who will come to the Food Pantry for the first time, the head of household must bring the identification (I.D.s) of all the people living with you. Acceptable government-issued I.D.s, such as:

1. Birth Certificates

2. NYS Driver's Licenses

3. NYS Photo I.D.s4. Social Security Cards

5. NYS Benefit & Cards.

6. Medicaid or Medicare Cards.

 

For our Food Pantry Consumers who need to recertify for the JPC Annual Low-Income Recertification, please bring your JPC Food Pantry Card (JPCFPC), the acceptable government identification (I.D.s) as previously stated for all people in your household, and meet the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) low-income eligibility requirement (see below)

 

 

If you are driving, please park your car (parking is available). The food line will be in the 1400 block from the corner of Arthur and West Street, heading towards 1415 West Street at the registration station. The Registration Personnel will scan all heads of households' JPC Food Pantry Cards (JPCFPC). Please bring a government-issued I.D. to verify your JPCFPC.

 

If you are picking up JPCFPC, the Registration Personnel may ask you to print your name and check the processed cards. If they find your card, they will give it to you.

 

Suppose you, the head of household, have come to the JPC Food Pantry (F.P.):

a. to pick up your JPCFPC, and it was not found. Re-submit a new F.P. Intake Application

b. For the first time, complete an F.P. Intake application

c. Add or remove people from your F.P. Intake application on file

d. Replace a lost JPCFPC.

 

The Registration Personnel will direct you to the Intake Station. The Intake Personnel can help you finish the required JPC F.P. Intake Application. You will be given a JPCFPC, or you may be given a temporary JPCFPC that you will use only on that day.

 

 

You will go to the next station, sign in, and complete the document based on your JPCFPC or temporary JPCFPC. Then, you will proceed to the various food stations. You will exit the JPC Free Choice Food Pantry area.
