CHANDLER, Ariz. – As we move into the season of gratitude and giving, the Friends of Chandler Public Library (CPL) is celebrating Season of Friendship and acknowledging the powerful impact of community support to make a difference in the lives of many.
Every year, thousands of patrons enter one of the four Chandler Public Library locations and/or utilize the library’s many online resources. These patrons might not know the large team of volunteers working behind the scenes to ensure that library programs and services are strengthened through private and corporate gifts. Friends of Chandler Public Library is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the important work of CPL. For over 40 years, the community’s generosity through used book donations, direct giving, legacy gifts and corporate contributions has enabled the Friends to provide annual sponsorships for some of the library’s most valued traditional and innovative endeavors.
This year, the Friends of the Chandler Public Library has committed over $80,000 in annual library support. CPL’s first grade reading program, Summer Reading Challenge, STEAM programming, Adult Literacy, Grab & Go Kits, Our Stories, PressReader and much more, all receive funds from the Friends of Chandler Public Library.
“Chandler Public Library is so incredibly fortunate to have the support of the community and this wonderful group of volunteers. So much of what we do would not be possible without the generosity of Chandler businesses and residents,” said Library Manager, Rachelle Kuzyk.
Friends of Chandler Public Library thank those who have donated in the past, and once again ask for annual support. A gift to the Friends is a powerful way to sustain and strengthen library programs and services and fund efforts that build a better community for Chandler. Donors can give directly to the Season of Friendship campaign online.
