Dear Friends,

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who participated in our Knockabout Rockabout last Sunday. Furthermore, I want to include our entire Adventure community in celebrating the tremendous achievements of the event. In one thrilling (and a tiny bit loud) evening, you helped us:

- Gather over 220 guests and friends who demonstrated their commitment to Adventure with their giving, but also with their time, energy, and dance moves;

- Significantly exceed our fundraising goal, setting us on course for a smooth and successful sailing season;

- Receive an official proclamation from Mayor Greg Verga of Adventure's position as Flagship of the City of Gloucester;

- Welcome dozens of new friends into our community;

- Have a ton of fun while doing it!

I am continually impressed by the passion and dedication that you all have for our schooner and her mission. As I said at the Rockabout, I am honored to welcome Captain Miller-Shelley to our team, and eager to join her and the staff, board, crew, volunteers and supporters in ushering in what may be our most bold and impactful season since Adventure first returned to the water.

To those of you who weren't able to make it, please know that you were on our minds. And if you've got an itch to invest in Schooner Adventure's future, we always welcome your generosity, even on days that I don't have a captive audience and a live microphone in my hand.
