While being interviewed by an overseas media outlet, Florida Democrat Mayor Donna Deegan made outrageously antisemitic comments about President Donald Trump’s immigration policy, alleging that it would lead to “concentration camps” if he were elected.

Florida GOP Chairman Evan Power released the following statement:

“During a time when President Trump is the target of multiple assassination attempts, and the rhetoric of the Left continues to become more unhinged, Democrat Mayor Donna Deegan evoked harmful antisemitic language to attack President Trump yesterday. As the Jacksonville Sheriff said yesterday, the people of Northeast Florida deserve better.

Unfortunately, this is more of the same from Nikki Fried’s Florida Democrat Party. At every turn, Fried has embraced her party’s antisemitic base: just 10 days ago, the Florida Democrats hosted a fundraiser for Kamala Harris on the anniversary of the October 7th terrorist attack on Israel.

Fried’s insistence on embracing her party’s radical fringe is even more reason why she trails the Florida GOP in polling, fundraising, volunteers, and most of all, voters. The question remains: When will Nikki step up and condemn her party’s radical, antisemitic base?”
