From: Kentucky Governor Andy BeshearFRANKFORT, KY - Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Robert “Bob” McNulty and Ron Walker to the Bluegrass Community and Technical College Board of Directors. Additionally, the Governor has appointed Hilary Morgan as a member of the Board.
- Bob McNulty of Lexington is a retired postal worker. He will serve for a term expiring Oct. 15, 2027.
- Ron Walker of Richmond is an attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice. He will serve for a term expiring Oct. 15, 2029.
- Hilary Morgan of Georgetown is the vice president of AON. She replaces Sannie Overly, whose term has expired, and will serve for a term expiring July 23, 2030.
Gov. Beshear has appointed John Muller, Michelle Higgins, Col Owens and Olivia Keller to the Gateway Community and Technical College Board of Directors.
- John Muller of Fort Thomas is an administrator at Carespring Healthcare. He replaces John Hayden, who has resigned, and will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term expiring Nov. 15, 2025.
- Michelle Higgins of Covington is a business developer at Employbridge. She replaces Ruth Howell, who has resigned, and will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term expiring Nov. 15, 2025.
- Col Owens of Covington is a retired attorney. He replaces Charles Session, who has resigned, and will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term expiring Nov. 15, 2024.
- Olivia Keller of Covington is an attorney at Stites & Harbison. She replaces Erik Hermes, whose term has expired, and will serve for a term expiring July 23, 2030.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Freddie Higdon to the Board of Tax Appeals, representing attorneys, for a term expiring June 29, 2028.
- Freddie Higdon of Lebanon is an attorney at Spragens & Higdon PSC. He will continue to serve as Chair of the Board of Tax Appeals.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed James Dale Sights to the Board of Claims for a term expiring June 29, 2028.
- James Dale Sights of Henderson is a retired bank executive.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Mitchel Denham to the Louisville/Jefferson County Air Board for a term expiring July 15, 2028.
- Mitchel Denham of Louisville is an attorney at McBrayer PLLC.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Sophia Voskuhl to the Governor’s Scholars Program Board of Directors for a term expiring June 19, 2027.
- Sophia Voskuhl of Lexington is a university student.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Genesia Kilgore-Bowling to the Kentucky Board of Social Work for a term expiring June 21, 2028.
- Genesia Kilgore-Bowling of Hellier is the chair of the School of Social Work at the University of Pikeville and represents licensed clinical social workers as a member of the Board. She replaces James Haggie, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Dr. Leslie Horn to the Kentucky Board of Dentistry to serve for a term expiring June 30, 2028.
- Dr. Leslie Horn of Wilmore is a dentist at Beaumont Periodontics and represents licensed dentists as a member of the Board. She replaces William Collins, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Anna Sumrall to the Juvenile Justice Advisory Board to serve for a term expiring July 24, 2028.
- Anna Sumrall of Elizabethtown is a student and represents youth under 24 years of age as a member of the Board. She replaces Shelby Gardner, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Grover Arnett and Kenneth Dietz to the Kentucky Workers’ Compensation Nominating Committee for terms expiring June 12, 2028.
- Grover Arnett of Salyersville is an attorney at William Grover Arnett PSC and represents attorneys with experience in workers’ compensation as a member of the Committee.
- Kenneth Dietz of Union is an attorney at Lucas & Dietz PLLC and represents attorneys with experience in workers’ compensation as a member of the Committee.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Renee Carrico, Michelle “Nikki” Whitaker, Mark Smith and Thomas Dorman to the Veterinarian Student Loan Repayment Selection Committee for terms expiring July 18, 2028.
- Renee Carrico of Springfield is the director of the Commodity Division for Kentucky Farm Bureau and represents her employer as a member of the Committee.
- Nikki Whitaker of Richmond is the director of operations and policy for the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association and represents her employer as a member of the Committee.
- Mark Smith of Barbourville is a veterinarian at Knox County Veterinary Services. He represents the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association as a member of the Committee.
- Thomas Dorman of Frankfort is a member of, and will represent, the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners as a member of the Committee.
