RALEIGH - On July 1, 2024, Governor Roy Cooper signed the following bills into law:

- House Bill 228: Rev. Laws Tech., Clarifying, & Admin. Chngs.
- House Bill 942:SHALOM Act.

Governor Cooper issued the following statement on his signing of HB 942:

"Defining antisemitism is important to stopping it, and this new law helps do that as antisemitic incidents are on the rise. While we protect the right to free speech, this legislation helps to make our state a more welcoming, inclusive and safe place for everyone."
