From: Wyoming Governor Mark GordonGovernor Mark Gordon has appointed Matt Sachse as Interim Director of the Wyoming Department of Revenue. He fills a vacancy left by the retirement of Brenda Henson, who served as Director since 2021.
Sachse will continue to serve as Administrator of the Department’s Mineral Tax Division, a position he has held since 2024. He served for nineteen years as the Valuation Manager for the Division. He also worked for the Wyoming Department of Audit from 1996 to 2005, performing oil and gas, coal, trona, and bentonite severance and ad valorem tax audits as well as audits of Federal and State royalties.
Sachse holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from California State University, Fullerton and served for six years in the US Air Force.
The Wyoming Department of Revenue includes the Administrative Services Division, the Excise Tax Division, the Property Tax Division, the Mineral Tax Division and the Liquor Division.
