Baton Rouge, LA - On March 10, 2025, Governor Jeff Landry released an address highlighting why Amendment 2 is so important for Louisiana’s economy. Early voting takes place March 15-22, excluding Sunday, March 16. Election Day is March 29.

“Hello, Louisiana. 

How about a permanent lower income tax rate? 

How about paying down the state's retirement debt and using those savings to give our teachers a much-needed permanent salary increase?

How about protecting the homestead exemption and exemptions for religious organizations and churches?

Or doubling the senior citizen's tax deduction so our seniors can keep more of their hard-earned money.

Well, guess what? You get all of that and much more with a yes vote on Amendment 2 on March 29th or in early voting starting March 15th. 

Amendment 2 is a game changer, and it will build upon the successes that we have had in lowering crime and fixing education. 

And it adds to the other tax reform measures that have helped us win the largest economic project in our state's history. 

Amendment 2 will also streamline government by merging duplicate savings accounts, and it creates a permanent government growth limit, which helps us build on our efforts to eliminate government waste and inefficiencies. 

That's Amendment 2, And guess what? You have the final say.

So go out and make your voice heard and vote yes on Amendment 2.”
