The State of Delaware is launching de.gov/federalfunding

WILMINGTON - On January 29, 2025, Delaware Governor Matt Meyer issued the following statement in response to President Donald Trump’s executive order freezing federal funds:

“By President Trump cutting off funding to critical programs, his administration jeopardized the livelihoods of thousands of Delawareans, making it even more difficult to access food, housing, health care, and child care assistance. While I am heartened by the actions of U.S. District Judge AliKhan for pausing this unprecedented freeze of federal funds, we still must be vigilant.

We know that Trump’s goal is to take tax dollars from working people so that he can eventually cut taxes for billionaires. This is unacceptable, and my administration will do everything in its power to protect the rights and livelihoods of the people of Delaware.

My pledge to Delawareans is that we will always keep fighting for you and ensure your rights are protected - including your rights to pursue life, liberty, and happiness.”

As part of his response, Governor Meyer is launching de.gov/federalfunding, an online web portal where Delawareans can let the administration know how they would be affected if this funding freeze is eventually allowed to proceed.
