Charleston, W.V. - On June 20, 2025, Governor Patrick Morrisey announced that his request for a cost share adjustment with FEMA was approved by the Trump administration. As a result, counties that received Public Assistance after the February floods in southern West Virginia will now be reimbursed at 90% instead of 75%.

“I’m grateful to President Trump and his administration for continuing to step up and help West Virginians affected by February’s flooding,” said Governor Morrisey. “Recovery is a long process, but we are going to keep working until the job is done.”

FEMA Public Assistance was approved in Greenbrier, Lincoln, Logan, McDowell, Mercer, Mingo, Monroe, Summers, Wayne, and Wyoming counties.
